School Uniform

We encourage parents/guardians to send their child to school in a red jumper, white polo shirt and black/grey trousers as we are keen to promote every child’s identity within our school community. We are mindful of unnecessary cost so school logos are optional. As an Eco-School, sustainability is important to us, so we ask that parents/guardians to send in any items of uniform which are in good condition but no longer fit their child. This can then be put to good use in the future, rather than go to landfill.

The school uniform consists of:

  • Red sweatshirt - school logo optional (not hoodie)
  • White or red polo shirt
  • Black jogging bottoms (Early Years), grey trousers, skirt or pinafore slip
  • Red and white check dress
  • Plain black/dark shoes

Children (N—Year 6) have to negotiate flights of stairs in the Key Stage 2 building in order to ac-cess the Hall and some classrooms, so we ask parents/guardians to ensure that their child wears sensible plain black shoes for school (not coloured trainers). As the children are involved in active learning, strappy sandals or shoes with a heel are not suitable.

We also ask that parents/guardians ensure their child wears appropriate clothing for P.E. Children can come to school wearing their P.E. kit (listed below) on the day scheduled.

  • White or red T-shirt
  • Black shorts
  • Daps/trainers

The Governing Body Policy on uniform states that no beads in hair, hair sculptures, bleached or coloured hair are allowed. For Health & Safety reasons, no jewellery, other than a wrist watch can be worn. Earrings are not allowed (studs can be worn for the six week period after ears are pierced but must be covered by plasters). This is to prevent any accidents that could be caused if an item of jewellery is caught in equipment.
